Changing Lives in Our Community

Since 1921 the Millionair Club Charity has operated a supportive employment program that specializes in helping people who are experiencing homelessness or other barriers to employment to become job ready. The MCC's Temporary Staffing Solutions program connects men and women with employment opportunity at over 1,100 businesses and residences in the greater Seattle area.

Daily work assignments, temporary and permanent job placements for anyone who wants to work

Offers men and women an opportunity to earn a wage and escape homelessness and unemployment.

Staffing and employment services for Employers
Helps businesses and homeowners to meet their demand for labor.

Job Training and Licensing
To make sure our workers become qualified and job-ready, including Food Handler's Permits, M.A.S.T. licenses, and safety instruction.

Nutritious hot meals and sack lunches
Not only does our meals program provide fuel for work, it is open to the entire community - the 3rd largest open community meals program in Seattle.

Housing at the Kasota Apartments & other Assistance
Transitional housing is available in the Kasota Apartments and assistance is available to prevent eviction or locate other housing opportunities. This stabilizes lives and enhances our workers' chances of achieving permanent employment

Shower and laundry facilities
To enable people who are homeless or in unstable housing to be ready for work.

Free eye examinations and prescription eye glasses
Thank you to the volunteer eye doctors and opticians who make the vision clinic possible. Eye glass manufacturing is provided by Walman Optical, who also provides eye glass frames and equipment maintenance.

Clothing Closet & Safety Equipment
A wide variety of clothing, weather gear, work shoes, and personal protection equipment makes sure our employment program members are always ready for work.

Connections to community services
Free cell phones, reduced fare Orca bus cards, free job training through RISE, health care clinics through Neighbor Care, and many more, help ensure we are supporting our men and women every step of the way.

We model the independence we encourage. We are proud that we’ve subsisted for decades primarily on private donations from individuals, foundations and corporations. We are supported by community-minded people that come from varied backgrounds and are not affiliated with any one religious, political or social group. And, despite what some assume from our name, our backers are ordinary people like you.
